Spreading rumors about Mom's oven

There are a lot of rumors sweeping Des Moines related to free brownies. The top one says that the brownies are not of commercial grade and their taste and texture could be uneven. The brownies are now being baked in my mom’s oven. The brownies come out thick and moist and never burn. To see for yourself, come to one of two stands in Des Moines. Thanks to an article on Darn Brownies in The Des Moines Register, the project has found two locations to give away cake. The first one will start at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the sculpture park downtown and the second one will be at 5 p.m. Thursday at the Cheese Shop on 42nd Street. By the end of the week, the project will have handed out around 200 brownies across this nation and signed up more than 100 people who plan to do small, nice things in their towns. One woman signed up and said she would hand out sugar cookies near a taco truck. Another person is making care packages for the homeless living under a bridge near her home. At a farmer’s market in Des Moines, I even saw free chemicals being offered with vegetables. So there is no telling what free brownies can accomplish.
